its not that hard though
if you cant redraw it by hand print out a stencil trace it with pencil onto your instrument then paint over the outline with your choice of paint (im not 100% sure what works best on what)

Well, a couple hundred dollars if I have a luthier do it for me... I don't want to risk doing it myself and damaging the neck, though. Maybe on a cheap guitar, but not on my main one.

I haven't done anything to an existing instrument, but I did make a makeshift bell kit once out of aluminum bars, yarn and a plastic bin. It only covered about an octave, but it was still pretty cool
