Sorry bout the hella late reply and all, but thanks guys :3
I showed the rest of the band what you said, Brad (guitarist/producer/engineer) and I were quite happy to hear a review based on the actual content rather than the more common "Oh I like this song but not this part and this song's alright but that song sucks" type thing haha. I kind of get what you mean by the volume fluctuation after you pointed it out, but honestly I've never noticed it.
Anyway, all in all, Brad responds! "I'd really like to know more about these volume fluctuations that they're talking about. Is it something I'm doing in the process of editing as the producer, or is it, in that particular example, the way Ben recorded the vocal line? I mean, there's not really room for fluctuations the way I've produced things. I compress the dear life out of anything that moves in my mix, and the only way parts get louder is with layers. So I'm sure it's a kind of misunderstanding with the louder vocal lines and transitions between sections. And about the clipping - he's definitely right, I'm not a mastering engineer - but I'm glad nobody's mentioned the lack of mastering so far, it means I've done it SOME good haha. Top notch reviews. I like it, I like it. I will use this feedback to my advantage."
So there we go. Thanks for checking it out and providing feedback guys! :3
