Well, first, what exactly are yo trying to create, what mood are you going for? Epic? Simple melancholy type feel? If you are going for an epic feel, then I suggest at 00:58 seconds, add a chord progression that goes with the initial harmony, not long ones, just make them about .5-1.5 seconds. If you plan on making this like 3:00-5:00 minutes, then I suggest picking it up a little earlier. You can add some arps or chords or both to add more definition to your work, so far it seems kind of bland, or just "ordinary" per say. try not to remove any of the elements of the work unless they become too intrusive. Maybe some drums would help the progression or build a little more, just so the listener knows it's going some where, and it adds a more obvious variation and refined sound. Don't make the drums too "hard" you're not making a dubstep, focus around the mid to low end, and a little around the high end of the drum frequencies. the Drums should have a "deep" feeling to them, not a drummer boy drum, but the big round one. try adding some of those elements or suggestions and see where your work is going, if it's not going anywhere, then just go back to your original work. DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING, the second you start to delete is the second you start to think your work is shit, which it isn't,it was very pleasant to listen to. Just keep up the good work and best of luck. if I had Cubase, i might be a little more familiar of what you could do, but I don't. If you need a little more clarification as to what i'm suggesting or talking about, just add me on skype.
-Edit- Just an Example of what i mean, it sounds a little like shit because i just threw those in to give you the basic idea of what i mean, but I think the drums add a little more "umph" to it,or pizaz to it. hope this helps.
