what style of music is this and how can i make it?

i really like this style of music but i have no idea what it's called
similar songs include animals by martin garrix and cybertron by far too loud.

i also want to know how i'd go about composing something like this (or more specifically that buildup) because right now i don't really do genre'd music but i really enjoy this.

The soundcloud says its electro house but looking at the comments and seeing you referencing "Animals" my guess is that this is big room house (my headphones aren't working so I can't listen to it to tell for sure)

Have fun I haven't watched it but I've never been disappointed by a tutorial that is over an hour long and frankly the genre itself at its roots isn't particularly hard to make.

Just be kind of careful making it because while at its roots its not hard, it also is VERY easy to make it sound super-stereotypical. (There are hundreds of fake tutorials on youtube that will tell you what not to do, watch them too.)

It's big room house for sure. Nothing against liking it, honestly its pretty good in my opinion, but you might get some flak from people because its typically much easier to produce then other EDM. During the summer it was also crazy popular, and comprised almost all of most DJ's sets, so a lot of people are tired of it. If you can make it sound unique though then go for it, and most of all have fun no matter what you do.
