Before you say anything, I am new to the forum. Not to music. Lol just to make that clear. So this is one of my non-pony instrumentals. Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/flashinglightsof ... calls-your

Use the proper tagging format for this subforum, please. Check the rules of the subforum - it's stickied so it'll be near the top. You can edit the topic title by clicking the edit button on your original post.

Also, you didn't link to a track - you just linked to your soundcloud. You can (and should) embed the soundcloud track by placing the link inside the Soundcloud tags (just press the button that says "soundcloud" and place the link between the two if you're unfamiliar with phpBB).

I edited the thread, and I think I did the tagging correct. If I did, great. If I didn't, then tell me. :)

Hey there, and welcome to the forums.

So, you're looking for feedback on "The Mystic Meadow Calls Your Name", right? I think the obvious glaring problem with the track would be the lead that kicks in at 7 seconds. It's really very loud and abrasive in kind of a painful way. I would suggest turning the volume down on it, and also consider making it less sharp so that it fits better with the rest of the track.

Another thing that stuck out to me on first listen was that the kick drum was barely audible.

As well, the track feels a little bit aimless, like it never really picks up or slows down or changes up at all, so it feels a bit monotone because of it. Although, that's probably not as much of a criticism depending on the genre and style you're going for, and based on the name of the track and the picture you used for it, that may very well be the intention right? I could see it being a fitting background track for a video game level, like an old-school RPG cave or forest level song or something. If the track was trying to be more active and engaging, though, then it's something that you might want to change up.

Thanks. It was meant to be some sort of Video-Game genre music. But thanks for the advice!
