2 versions of the exact same song. Version 1 was mixed like I normally do, Version 2 was mixed differently (got the idea from a post by I believe Captain Ironhelm on this forum). Any advice on mixing would be great.

As for the song itself, I know it's repetitive. It was made in 1 day right after one of the lowest points I've had all year, and I have no intention of making any more versions. But if you want to give critique on that, it's not like I'm gonna stop you.

Thanks.

The reverb on the kick sounds like it has a ton of low end. Not sure whether that is intentional or accidental, but the low end on the reverb makes it sound muddy.

The two mixes in comparison sound very much alike to me. The second one seems to be slightly cleaner than the first one, but that's just me.

First one sounds clearer, less compressed, which I think is what you want to go for with a piece like this.

For the actual piece, I really like it, it's really intresting and nice, it does suffer a bit from the repetiveness as you mention yourself, but besides that, it's pretty good.
