Only a Beautiful Night

Postby ForeverOdin » 11 Nov 2011 16:20

Hello all! This is my first post of my own on here. I decided to make this my "introductory" song for a number of reasons. It was my first Pony-based original, and as of right now, my only one currently uploaded. Also, it was one of my first songs I did on FL Studio. As such, it's somewhat of an important song for me, so figured I'd share it!
New Age-y, Chill type of song inspired by Luna. It's a few weeks old (it was originally intended for the Luna episode a while back) but I've somewhat slowed my upload rate lately so by my standards, it's kinda fresh. =P

It's basic to say the least, but I do hope it's an alright try. Love to hear what you think!

Overall, I would say it's not too bad for a first work overall, I actually just finished my first but hey, I think I still have the right. Most of the sounds were okay but the hi-hat didn't really seem to blend well, one it stopped playing later in the song I felt more relaxed.

It kinda feels like it's the same progression throughout the song, which I have done myself so I really won't complain.

Overall, fairly nice and peaceful for a first work. Keep it up!

Yea, re-listening to it, I do think it would have been better to omit the hi-hat.
And the progression was indeed kept same throughout (with only one BRIEF exception), which normally I try to avoid whenever possible. However, I was struggling to figure out where to take it, so I just settled on keeping it simple. But it is something you hopefully won't see from me often ha.

But thank you AJ! Appreciate the feedback.
