<Non-Pony> <Remix> Massive Damage

Original song by Woofle, one of my biggest inspirations. Go check out her music, she's got like a thousand songs or something. It's CRAZY!

So the original midi for this song was actually lent to me two years ago because I'd wanted to try to make a piano version. Two years and a night lasting till six in the morning later and out pops this thing. Ta-da~!

The intro is pretty cool, I like the organ way in the background.

I wasn't really sure what you were trying to do with the part at 0:40; it sounded like it was trying to be a climactic but it couldn't really muster up the energy.

Your drums are tiny. Might've been an artistic choice but I can seriously barely hear them.

I think you've got some dissonance around 1:13.

After that little breakdown section I noticed again that the drums are really tiny and weak. Like, I get if you want them weak but they're barely even there.

The part at 2:10 is more climactic than the one at 0:40, but still not really that climactic. You've pretty much used the same instruments throughout the song at this point though; you could do with changing some of those up.

The piano (melody) is pretty cool and the part after that is awesome.

After that part during another breakdown you've got some more ugly notes on that piano (it's late, so I might be imagining it though).

The climax towards the outro is pretty much the same as the second climax, which is rather unfortunate. You seem to be an orchestral guy; I think you should've added some brass or something there. The outro itself is fine though.

Thanks a lot for the input! It's not often I get someone who will go as in-depth as you.

Percussion has never been a strong point of mine, I'll say. Though most of the issues listed were because a lot of the song was simply copied over from the MIDI, which probably didn't transfer too well from a sort of older video game sound into an orchestra. Not very artistic of me, I know, but this is the first song I've released in almost a year, and I've been in a bit of a musical rut and wanted to use this song to try and get me back on my feet.

Looking back on it, I could definitely have used more variation and some brass. I think I was just scared I'd muddy it all up by adding more instruments than I already had. However, I honestly don't see what you mean by ugly notes on the piano. I thought they sounded alright.

I thought the piano stabs were clashing with the organ and other instruments, that's all. However I can't seem to find that part I was talking about, so it's probably fine :3
