Battle music for a game

Postby penguindf12 » 09 Nov 2011 22:57

Hm...

Here is some battle music I'm working on for a game. Dunno if it's finished or not -- I'm thinking about adding another section or two. Sorry about the abrupt cutoff at the end!

Lemme know if it coheres...

I felt it as a combination of Castlevania, Mega Man, Final Fantasy, and Duck Tales together. It's like fighting somepony who is absolutely insane (like Pinkamena with a thousand floating knives!).

In other words, I like it!

But I'm wondering- what's the game?

I think I recognise the DPCM samples. They sound way too loud though. If you're using Famitracker, use the Zxx effect to quieten them.

Too much vibrato on the triangle. And the held note in the noise starting at :40 is really off-putting.

It's not bad though.
