Making a live-action fan vid. Need music recommendations.

Hey hey everypony! Some friends and I are making a video about Discord and Celestia's backstory. I'm looking for brony music that would fit the mood, since we're not doing any dialogue.

The basic plot is this:
Time: before Discord's rule and before Celestia and Luna become alicorns.
Discord (before his dragonequus ascension) is an outcast in the pony world.
Celestia finds Discord. They romance.
Later on, the relationship crumbles. Argument & fight and it ends dramatically
Discord is furious, heartbroken, sad. His rage unlocks his powers, ascends to full form. Breaks the world.
Celestia and Luna find the elements, become alicorns.
Fight Discord, he’s brought down.
Celestia is heartbroken.

Mainstream music we're considering is
Blue Jeans by Lana Del Rey
Precious Dark by Indica
King and Lionheart by Of Monsters and Men
Awake and Alive by Skillet
Kill! Kill! Kill! by The Pierces
Nemo / End of All Hope by Nightwish

So we're ok with a variety of possible music. Any suggestions?

You should put this in the "Challenges" subforum (don't repost this; just ask a mod and they'll move it).

What type of music are you looking for? Happy? Sad? Angry? Energetic? Lethargic? We need more information before we can help you. And how much do you need?

Oooh, this looks like it has potential. Do you guys actually have a camera setup, animations that you'll be doing, etc? I may be willing to help out with audio and mixing it in to fix the situation, if necessary. I don't really listen to any brony music, sorry, but not a lot of brony music seems like it wouldn't be really "movie" or "video" worthy. I'd advise asking somebody here to compose some background music or something. Or if you're going to do an action sequence where you want them to "fight to the music" or such, you'd need to go into further detail about what the scene is going to be like so that we can help you pick out an appropriate piece.

I sent you guys something you might like.

Let me know if it works out, or if you'd like something different.

You say Discord and I immediately can this. Also bear with me cos i'll probably just be chucking out some big names and maybe songs so yeah.

Firefrettehbrony - Second chance for Disharmony? This guy's great. Got some pretty chill peices as will if this one doesn't tickle your fancy-detector

Pinkie Guy - This Monster in Me. This one might not work as well, but hey, Discord!

Aviators - Monster. - This ones a little more obvious, as its actually about Discord and Celestia having a broken relationship or somethin

DropkickProductiontx - This guy has some great musics you could find. Alot of tense Djenty and progressive stuff.

ISMBOFepicly - similar to the guy above. Kinda happier style though.

There are also Mandopony and Acousticbrony. Mando has a wider range of stuffs to choose from, like background music and soundtrack kind of stuff if you're after that, and Acousticbrony have some more acousticy softer pieces you could use, both major and minor, like Balladshy, La couterie, Night of nightmares and Lunar nocturnality Celestial Diurnality.

Another obvious one, The Living Tombstone might have something. Though Tombs got like 70 tracks or something ridiculous last time I checked. Not sure if anything by him could suit it, he tends to write... bouncy music.

And this!
PhillyPu - Dreaming with ponies - Beautiful piano piece. Warning - it could make you cry. Could go with something somewhere just cos it's so good.

And there. That's a bit of a list for you to sift through. Some of it might not be entirely to your tastes, but i'm not entirely sure what you'd be after or what you'd have in mind.

Yeah, the videographers/editors are the guys that made this.

We're not set about what music we're looking for specifically, it's all pretty open at the moment since we're still planning everything. So we'll consider whatever you guys recommend. Right now we're really liking Monster.

Nice, sounds like you have everything planned out and set up. Hopefully you can get a music list selected, good luck with this!
