Please give me some feedback on this. It's my first song using sylenth and I spent a lot of time creating the sounds. https://soundcloud.com/electric-velocity/high-velocity

Really nice. The first synth that comes in sounds a bit too compressed though. The kick also needs some more presence, give it some punch. I like the melody, not too repetitive and changes up towards the end real nice. Keep it up!

The entire track feels like it's missing the higher frequencies; as if the song is coming from the opposite side of a wall.
You made some solid synths, so kudos for that. However, there were too many overlapping frequencies, so I'd recommend doing some research on EQ'ing to clean that up.
Edened had a good point about the kick: you need to give it some more presence. Try giving it a nice higher frequency click and then use EQ to cut that narrow band of frequencies from all your other synths. This will let the kick seem to cut right through since it can be heard over all other sounds.

Overall, very good job on the sound design, it just needs some more clarity.

People keep telling me to make my kicks louder and when I do, they overpower the track. My Technologic remix is a good example of this. When I try to add or keep the higher frequencies of my kick samples, they sound like they are popping or the white noise plays too much. I can never find the right balance. I want dry, solid kicks that don't sound like they were made electronically. Disco drums seem to work well but it's hard to find ones that don't have a hat along with them. Maybe it's just my sample selection.

The best I can tell you is to just keep trying: layering is the right idea and the EQ tip from above actually works well to bring the kick through.

I really like it! The pulsing intro is awesome, and the main track has an excellent build up. It might just be me, but I think your snares sound like they are clipping just a tad. That might just be how the sound, idk. I think it had nice variety throughout, like how you switch it up at 2:05.

Good job!
