Kyoga wrote:experimenting with synthetic design is quite a good idea, but in this I feel that you spent too much time worrying about reverberating your synths instead of taking the time to curtail and mold your synths to work in harmony with one another. I feel that the kick in the background (and pretty much every aspect of the percussion) took a lot of attention from the environment you seemed to be going for (which, without the percussion, I would have actually enjoyed quite thoroughly)

A primary element of Ambient music is creating a feeling for the listener to enjoy while "whatever" goes on in the background exciting parts of the listener's mind. I feel that because you're more used to dealing with music that has a determined rhythm, you were unable to let go of the drum kit for the sake of building a soundscape for the listener to fall into.

Earlier in the song I also feel that some of your more synthetic elements were unable to truly sync with one another.
The drums made this more obvious each time I listened for it.

Pretty good sounds you have going, though. May I suggest working with impulse waves and square waves in the lower register? It will give you good accompanying harmonics and will give a more pseudo harmonic past the higher registers for you to utilize in your reverberation client.
Whatever that may be.

Also: don't use too much reverb. You gotta let some of those synths stand out, y'know? :D

Thanks man it's nice to actually have some weighted feedback I see what you mean with the muddiness and i guess i went a little too far with the drums and stuff. I'll definitely re-do this song and implement what you told me. Thanks again :D
