<can instrumental be pony?><progressive rock>When I Look Up

"The moon has always been there. During the best times, and the worst times. A constant reminder of our past. Sometimes the night sky is so pretty it makes you want to cry."

If you're planning on only listening to part of it, at least listen to the guitar solo at 2:20.

I wrote lyrics for it, but I decided it worked better as an instrumental. I can post them if you're interested.

Edit: Replaced the audio file. There was a synth that didn't load properly when I bounced it. I was too busy focusing on mastering to notice. Also made the ending smoother.

Woah dude. That was awesome! It started out as like a heavy Jethro Tull sound, and then it broke into a newer/older Pink Floyd sound. It kicked ass! Good work!
DAW: FL Studio 10
Genre: EDM (House and Dubstep)
Strongpoints: Song makeup and structure, mastering, House
Weakpoints: Dubstep, completion of a song
Will I collab?: Yes

If your drums are sampled, they don't sound like it for the most part, so kudos to that. A lot of prog rock artists who don't have access to drummers really struggle with getting natural sounding drums.

I really dig the pads in the breakdown.

Overall, the progression is really nice. The solo is pretty damn baller, too. Well done.

I'm waiting for the video before I offer it as a download. Usually I just use pre-existing art for the video, but I have a friend who wants to commission something, that's why it's taking so long.

For the drum kit I used Superior Drummer. It bounces each microphone on the kit to a different track, so you can mix it just like a real drum kit. For the rest of the drums I used Heavyocity's Damage.
