Well, I am a percussionist after all, and a semi avid tune ripper. This is a massive work in progress that I would like more people to hear, cause it is, in my opinion, the best project I've been working on. Not to mention the longest.

I've sort of put it off to the side to work on other things so I can come back to it later, but I'm thinking about continuing, so I would like to hear what you think of my little ode to the Toaster, written for a percussion ensemble.

and here's another part of it that has some stuff in between: basically it's Awoken, but to fit it in with the rest of the song, I have to write the rest of Rainbow Factory and She's a Pony/Pinkie's Lie.

tell me whatcha think!

The mixing isn't doing all that well. The percussion and drums in general are really weak. The melodies sometimes clash and are dissonant. Sometimes the instruments are inappropriate for the mood of the song and could probably be lowered in pitch, and the drum loops don't always work for some sections. And sometimes I get the feeling that the drums are out of beat with the rest of the song. Also, at some parts where the toms are playing in the lower tones, it sounds really unnecessary and just like extra noise. This applies to both the tracks. Other than those errors and flaws, you did a good job of mashing Toaster's songs together.

Hmm... I can see what you're saying about the mixing, as there isn't much I can do about that in Sibelius, but every other thing is directly from his tunes. Dissonance and all. I suppose it was a bad idea to post marching music on a website with very little background of the genre. Drums can do a lot more than just two and four :3
