Make sure you get the rasp of the horns, trombones, and bassoon and the rumble of the contrabasses and celli.
Don't compress/process things too much. The orchestra sounds good because of it's natural power. Try to enhance the realism of the orchestra.
with string parts, allow a lot of extra volume at the beginning of the note, allowing it to die away, then swelling a little. (this is one of the ways a string section might react)
The way the sound might develop in a natural setting is;
percussion and attack on brass and strings would be heard.
develops into sustained orchestra for a short time before the choir becomes unmasked by the other instruments.
hope that helps! sorry, I write a little confusingly sometimes..
Currently, there are no woodwinds in this. I'd say this is the problem, but whenever I try adding them they just seem to muddle it up. Needless to say, me and woodwinds never really got along too well. As far as bass goes, I've got a tuba, double bass, and trombones. I could try putting a bass choir in there as well.

Now, settings like that would be rather difficult using FL Studio. Although possible, it would just take time that I don't have at this point, as it would require me to make an automation track and adjust every individual note the strings play, which is extremely tedious for even 8 bars of music. Unless there's a quicker way I'm not aware of... Very handy info, though!
