I need some feedback on the mixing of this track. I've rarely ever worked with a completely full orchestra before, and am having trouble figuring out how to make it sound the best it can. I've EQ'd and compressed the instruments that needed it, but I still think it sounds a little... undermixed? What do you guys think?

I think it sounds fine, only thing id say is to bring up the horns(trumpets?) and the low strings (cello) whatever they are. I dont have much knowledge when it comes to orchestral though so dont feel obliged to change anything
DAW: Fl Studio
Favorite VST's: Philharmonik, Piano One, Orchestral, Sonik Synth 2, Jessie's Music Box.

You've got a lot of high-end in there, feels like it's missing mids&mid-lows and lacking a touch on bass. I guss this makes it feel a little 'empty'.
Make sure you get the rasp of the horns, trombones, and bassoon and the rumble of the contrabasses and celli.

Don't compress/process things too much. The orchestra sounds good because of it's natural power. Try to enhance the realism of the orchestra.

with string parts, allow a lot of extra volume at the beginning of the note, allowing it to die away, then swelling a little. (this is one of the ways a string section might react)

The way the sound might develop in a natural setting is;
percussion and attack on brass and strings would be heard.
develops into sustained orchestra for a short time before the choir becomes unmasked by the other instruments.

hope that helps! sorry, I write a little confusingly sometimes..

Currently, there are no woodwinds in this. I'd say this is the problem, but whenever I try adding them they just seem to muddle it up. Needless to say, me and woodwinds never really got along too well. As far as bass goes, I've got a tuba, double bass, and trombones. I could try putting a bass choir in there as well.

Now, settings like that would be rather difficult using FL Studio. Although possible, it would just take time that I don't have at this point, as it would require me to make an automation track and adjust every individual note the strings play, which is extremely tedious for even 8 bars of music. Unless there's a quicker way I'm not aware of... Very handy info, though!

If your sampler/synth responds to expression, you can record enable many different tracks at he same time and use a MIDI controller to create an envelope.
Either that, create an envelope (just the envelope [cc#11]) in a MIDI region , then copy and paste that to all the other tracks.

Try changing some of the notes to include more mid-range notes instead of higher ones.

Bass notes help establish the chord. What I've found is that putting (relatively) a lot of bass on the beginning of the chord helps identification of the harmony, then allowing it to die away more quickly helps to keep the chord clear and clean.

Alright I've put a flute, clarinet, bassoon, and oboe into the piece. Sound any fuller?
