<dubstep>Untitled WIP

Needs critique. Thanks.

Some things I've gotten so far from other friends:
-Synth design
-Bass melody in drop sounds out of tune slightly
-percussion and other drums
-too repetitive

Anything else you guys think I need to improve on?

I think the track needs to be remastered if it hasn't been already. For reference id suggest just laying down a kick-snare pattern over the track to act as a more upbeat metronome and just add what feels right. The mixing seems muddy, especially around the drop as the drop overpowers the dark organ-ish sound completely. When it comes to the bass being out of tune the easiest way to deal with that is to pick a key for your track and making sure the lead is in key. You can actually do that with pitcher in fl studio, just pick which key you want the track to be in and itll light up the notes you should be using. Another thing could be to sidechain the kick to the lead, that way its easier to make out in the track, and bringing up the snare in the mixers.
DAW: Fl Studio
Favorite VST's: Philharmonik, Piano One, Orchestral, Sonik Synth 2, Jessie's Music Box.
Setup: MIDI, Earphones, Snacks

This is a WIP, it isn't mastered and won't be until it's completed, lol.

Alright, I'll be sure to fix that up.

Yeah, I know how to make a track in key  I'm not quite that incompetent.

Hm, alright. I didn't really consider side chaining my kicks. For me, sidechaining kicks or anything else is fucking impossible though, even when watching a video that shows me how to do it and following the step by step instructions exactly, I can't sidechain correctly. But I guess I'll give it another try, and try even harder not to destroy the computer out of frustration

Anyways, thanks for the review. It's not really often that I get critique like this from MLR (although my last music post here was a couple of months ago, soooo...)

No, it's fine. I have a tendency to do the same thing :P

I might look at the patches, but I prefer to make my own. Maybe I'll learn something from the patches or something, lol.
