Did you make a snare out of a clap and a hat?

Maybe it's because of the whole 'no bass' thing but this really sounds like just a long, but good, intro.

I'm interested to see what you make from this.

The melody is a bit cheesy (That might just be subjective), try changing the 3rd (and maybe even the 4th) chord to something else. You also have to flesh it out a lot more, right now it's just drums and an arp. Try adding a pad, a lead or something else. Speaking of drums, the kick feels a bit out of place compared to the song (Again, this might just be my opinion) and the snare/clap sounds like it is just the high end. So try to get some new samples. You can also spice the drums up a bit with some hats and percussion.
