[Non-Pony][Original] Conduit - Hero

Postby Conduit » 02 Jan 2013 01:23

My first attempt at chillstep or whatever. I'm honestly really unhappy with this piece, but its done now, and I can move on with my life.

Its also my first video on my new channel, so if you like the song, unlike me, throwing me a sub would be very much appreciated.

Feedback is good, not sure if I'll try this genre again in the future, but knowing what I did wrong can't hurt.

I encourage you to continue this genre! For a first attempt with chillstep, I think you captured the mood very well. I'm loving the concept of the song, and 1:27 is really cool. Oh, and the part beginning at 2:35, the piano work is nice there.

Did you try experimenting with a longer sounding snare? I can't help but wonder if that would help it sound better, but I have never tried chillstep, so my advice here should probably be taken with a grain of salt. (ew, a cliché)
In fact, I think I want to try this genre now. Yeah.

Sub'd to your channel because good music. ^^

Thanks a ton, both for the feedback and the sub.

I think I will try chillstep again, after I finish up a few more orchestral tracks, and get a bit more comfortable with logic.

Thanks again for renewing my faith in this forum, I thought it had got to the point where posting music here and asking for critique was pointless. Good work proving me wrong.
