Beyond Her Garden Remix (Calamus Dash)

Postby Calamus_Dash » 15 Oct 2011 13:59

I feel like kind of an attention whore horse for posting this right after DJ Stablefree posted his (far superior) remix, but whatever.
anyway, the second WoodenToaster posted "Beyond Her Garden" on youtube, I knew I wanted to remix it. This is my first remix ever, and I'm hoping you guys can tell me what I did wrong, anything I did right; stuff like that.

I only listened to the original once, so I keep forgetting how it sounds...:/

But anyway, this sounds real nice! Good job for your first remix ever!

You are the hero My Little Remix deserves, not the one it needs.
So we’ll hunt you. Because you can take it. Because you’re not our hero.
You’re a silent guardian of music, a watchful protector of songs.
A doctor of dissonance.

Sounding really unique, and really good for a first remix. Work on your chopping, and you'll be a force to reckoned with! Liking the psuedo-synth-solo.

Thanks a ton to both of you for listening :D
ArtAttack, by chopping do you mean the big sections of the original that I cut out, or the small stuttering parts?
Either way I agree XD I need to get better at actually making them stutter on my own instead of just using FL's stutter tool thingy, and I think I messed up the timing slightly with one of the instrumental parts that I borrowed near the end.
