Time for another bump.

I honestly hate doing these, I'm just going to ask to get this added to the getting started with music guide.

Genres: Just about anything electronic. I particularly like broken beat, hardcore, and anything experimental.
Strong points: I'm decent at the technical side of music production. I've always been great with computers, and anything I don't know, I'm eager to learn.
Weak points: Music theory, actually finishing a damn song.

Bump.

I'm also going to organize all of the entries. The organization will be primarily by genre, with alphabetical organization in each of the categories. Also, its kinda helpful if people can see examples of the work you've done, so I'm going to add a link to each of your discographies. If you don't want to be added just fire me a message.

Changes should be up by tomorrow, so look forward to that I guess.

I'll add myself to this list with some unique-ish strengths.

Genres: EDM; all day, every day. I know some areas better than others, but I have a fairly broad range of experiences.

Strengths: I had to get a second opinion on these... My original one was right. Crushing, really. Anyway,

Ideaology, personal and musical philosophy, psychology (It plays in more than you'd think), teamwork, history (specifically around the American/English EDM scenes of the past 20 years) search skills, (I can find anything via the web) independence as an artist (who needs managers/artists, psh), and live electronic performance, hardware & software technology.

Weaknesses: Everything, as far as I'm concerned.

DAW: Ableton Live 8, but well versed in FL Studio.

Skype: fox2469101

Time Zone: US & Canada Mountain Time, MST, -7

Please feel free to hit me up at literally any time. Can't guarantee an instant response, but you'll get a response none-the-less!

I don't actually expect anyone to contact me at all. I wouldn't contact me. I'm a loser.
10/15/2014 - I finally return to ponies? Maybe.

Actually it was more like 10/12/2015

My current SoundCloud, pony & non-pony things found here.

I have 4 EP's under this alias!

Strengths: NI Massive automation/envelopes
Weaknesses: any DAW besides Acid.

Anypony who knows Ableton Live inside and out would be a huuuge help to me. I'm just looking for a bro(ny) with a few years experience to help point me in the right direction as far as self-teaching goes, if that makes any sense. Who knows, maybe we can even be buddies. Genres: Jazz, improvisation (general), symphonic, downtempo, chillout, beat, pop, chillwave, glo-fi.
Strengths: Composition, technique and improv (piano esp.), mixing in a digital environment, general knowledge of and related to VST plugins. Most of all, patience! :P
So-so: Voice. I can impart precious little wisdom. I'm still learning and improving my own voice. Nevertheless, whatever I've learned, I'll be happy to pass on.
Weaknesses: Musical theory and nomenclature, mastering, synth design, sounding like "x"
DAW: Cubase 5.5

Wow, lots of responses to this recently.

Hey guys, I really need your feedback on the new layout. I still need to organize alphabetically, as well as confirm peoples primary genre.

Do you thinks it's too cluttered with the genre titles, or is it easier to navigate?
What direction should I take this thread in the future?
Also, expect a message in your inbox shortly regarding your bio.

Thanks to everybody who has contributed, you are all shining examples of what sets MLR apart from other, less friendly forums.

I think you should just split us up into EDM and non-EDM, considering we have genres listed in our info.

All messages have been sent out, I'll see how it looks once people are actually under the right genre. If nobody replies though I'll just give up and do the EDM / Non-EDM split.

Um, no. This is the least fair statement I've seen all week.

House is a lot different than speedcore. EDM has innumerable subgenres. Just because you know how to pull off one subgenre doesn't mean you're a master at another.

AND ANOTHER THING:

There's more than one non-EDM genre, by the way. Tons, in fact. From orchestral to metal to folk to country to grunge to rap to WHATEVER. Sweeping all of these under the same roof would be downright disrespectful to music.
