im really tripping with the beginnings gated pad, i cant keep tempo, i also feel like for some reason the snare on the syncopation is a little rushed, otherwise i think its an awesome remix of an awesome song

Ya, I put the sidechain there using gross beat, It's meant to be a bit off beat,

It sounds ok with headphones, but with speakers? Not so good, I got even that up

also, I fixed the drums by adding a bit of variation on the drum patter instead of doing the same pattern again and again, It was only a placeholder, for now...

I don't mind the gating pad so much, but I agree about changing up the drums, especially for transitions. My brain, however, is trying to make the drums line up with a swing rhythm...

The lead's too piercing - I'd suggest putting a little lowpass or some reverb (or both) on it. Also, the piano at 2:23 is quiet.
