<WIP> <Orchestra/Dubstep> Christmas Album

Postby DannyMirage » 28 Jun 2012 02:42

I'm making a Christmas present to my best friend. He spent a long time last year looking for Christmas Dubstep and couldn't find anything. He generally likes what I make, so I plan to Make a Christmas Album for Him.

I spent a decent amount of time on my intro to "Carol of the Bells" which is one of my favorite Christmas songs. EVER.

I have plenty of holes in this, give me some feedback.

Also, I wouldn't mind collabing on this project, I'm going to fit any Christmas song that will go decent with dubstep, so it's a big project, I'm starting now, so I'll have more than enough time to finish it up.

BTW I surprised myself with the Orchestrated part, I still need feedback.

Wow, those strings. I loved the orchestral bit, my only complaint is that the drop came out of nowhere and was a bit jarring, but it might just be me, either way its awesome so far.

okay, what do you mean by jarring? I do know what you mean about the drop, the orchestrated part is really quiet in comparison... Do you think a faded in synth would help right before the drop? don't worry though, im nowhere near done with this.

It was just rather sudden, there is no indication that its coming so its really surprising. Maybe its not a bad thing like I said it might just be me. :P And a faded synth before the drop may help, just some way of knowing its coming.

Haha, Okay yeah, It's really abrupt It's not supposed to be though so I might need to add some stuff to give off the "dubstep feel" a little earlier.

After I started this project I realized why there's not many Christmas dubstep songs, two totally different time signatures. We three kings by Alex S. is all I've heard, and he didn't put much time into it :/
