<pony><original> Over Her Pasture (Fluttershy)

This was a "sit down in 5 hours and see if I can make a song" type thing. I finally broke out of my usual song structure, so that's a plus. I had a concept in mind for a few weeks, that being I totally wanted a real subtle song for Fluttershy. The original idea was just a bunch of atmospheric pad sounds, but that didn't work out the way I wanted to. After having a few chord ideas in my mind, I scrapped them all and gravitated to my comfort key of G and the song went simple. I-IV-V progressions and pretty simple melodies. I embellish upon them quite often. I also throw in some deceptive cadences (mainly V-IV and V-ii) because that's what I like to do :P

But yes, very bare instrumentation wise. Simple is good!

I hope you enjoy!

edit: And bonus points to whoever can tell what song I used as a basis for this ;)

I really enjoyed this one. The tone was deliciously melodic and soothing, much like Fluttershy.

I could have used a bit more bass, like maybe some really low bells or chimes. But, it was still pretty good, nontheless.

Loved the sound clip at the end, too. That was a nice touch.

That would have actually been really good. I guess I can't really average out pure simplicity and going overboard with instrumentation  Bells. That's going on my notesheet I look at when I work on songs.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.
