My biggest influences are Devin Townsend and Between The Buried & Me, so I figured it was time to write some heavier, more aggressive and meaningful music (to me, anyway.) Subject matter is pretty personal, and deals with a lot of issues I used to have and am still sort of living with. No pony stuff this time, but instead a short demo of a track I started last night. Piano in place of guitar while I search for a decent virtual amp to use (but I've learned it on my crappy Marshal MG30.) This will become one of four songs for an EP I'm working on; two metal/experimental and two slow, Post-Rock ish tracks as intro/outro (all non-pony).
Anyway, I'm keen to know what you think of it, what it needs, etc. There are extra bars I'll be adding, and changing a few drum fills, but the overall thing is there. It'll be MUCH longer than this when finished as well, this is only about a quarter composed. THIS IS VERY, VERY EARLY STUFF, so there's a lot I'm going to fix over the next few days. Also, if anyone knows a decent free virtual amp I can use with my guitar, I'd love a link to it. (:
