Yo bronies, can I have some feedback on this sheeyut?

T'is my first "official" pony track and I'm still waiting for EQD to accept it. So in the meantime, feedback?

I feel like this has some potential if it was mixed properly, but there are a few rather ear jarring things about it. The vocals feel a bit flat, you performed them well, but vocals should be on top of the mix, and the vocals here are drowned out a little. It wasn't too bad before the 52 second mark, like the piano was a little too loud. The piano could probably use some Eq, maybe cut some low end and make it brighter, then boost the Eq on the vocals in the frequencies that make it feel more dominant in the mix, then cut frequencies to make it sound cleaner.

Now after that bass synth at 55 seconds, it totally brought me out of it. It's loud and distracting. Then that lead synth at 1:21 is very loud and obnoxious. Might work if it was behind the mix, but it completely drowns out the vocals, and there is a lot of clipping going on, which is caused by too much volume. A limiter can help fix that, but that would only mask bad mixing.

Not really sure if that bit at 1:55 or 3:17 was necessary. It was quite jarring. The male choir afterwards wasn't bad.

Overall I think this could have used a few listens from other ears before publishing because it feels rather unfinished. I think your most immediate problem is just mixing. Adjusting volumes on channels, and equalizing them so each instrument has a comfortable place in the mix. I admit, this process is not easy, it took me years to even get decent at it, but I would suggest doing some research into what good equalizing and mixing is, and check out useful tools like compressors and limiters and how they work.

Thanks for the feedback. Mixing has always been my weak point in music, and I'll make an effort to work on it more.

Those vocals weren't actually mine, they're IBringDaLulz's.

The vocals place in the mix was something i tried really hard to get, with compressors and saturators and the like. I also recently got a mastering suite vst and I tweaked and tweaked it on this song, maybe it would have sounded better if it wasn't there and I just threw a limiter on it. :\

But Thanks soo much for the feedback.

EDIT: And plus Dubstep is a hard genre, maybe I should stick to house and electro like i normally do. :3

The beginning is Beautiful love that

The first verse is incredible

the synth is incredibly loud not sure if it fits but it does fit when lolz is not rapping

personally did not like the dubstep

the male vocals were great

I like the melody a lot

so in all honesty just take out the synth when lolz is rapping and i think its better

from a fans standpoint and not as a musician
