Kinda lackin' in the bass department. Needs a bit more bass. I like the UNC UNC though.

Yessir, I was thinking of adding some bass in the first dubsteppy part, but I liked how it turned out. I dub it shrillstep, though I should up the kicks there to compensate. For the next part I'm doing, It'll be much more bass heavy (Which will be easier then because I will probably get massive) I'm thinking of making it somewhat like Knife Party's Centipedes. But We'll have to see, really the first time I've ever done a song in this manner.

Put the second drop on my Tumblr:

More bassy, kinda cool! Just bought massive and I'm havin' fun.
Have to make the transitions a bit smoother. I like how it's started though.

it was pretty great :D You did the drop well, but as stated previously, just a bit more bass would be good. Although those styles of drops are fun too

I'd probably prefer if you didn't use a high pitched synth for the drop like that. It's still sick, but lacking the sheer brutality that balloon party needs. Instead, use a sub bass induced (Try the free itchy synth subsonic) heavily distorted (Camelcrusher) bass.

Alright, time to comment. Whoo.

Well, I personally think that this is very well done. Of course, I'm never without my critiques, but I'll get to those later. I like the basic melody of the song, I think it's very well done. And although a lot of people are talking about having more "bass" sounds in your dubstep (would that be called dubstep?) section to make it harder, I think that that is your style and that it is very hard indeed. Just because it doesn't have epic Skrillex-style wubs doesn't make it any less hard. Look at Flux Pavillion, for example. Nothing harder. And they use that signature high-pitched bass, right? I think it fits in great.

Now, on to more technical things. For one, the transitions are almost nonexistent. Every time I listen, I never hear the drop, because all of a sudden, the dubstep hits my ears and I think, "where is the drop?" I think a few things could fix this. I feel like you build up a LOT to the bridge before the dubstep, and you feel as if you have nowhere left to go in terms of direction. Maybe hold back on the increasing kicks and white noise, and save it all for the drop. This will give the song a sense that you haven't really hit the good stuff yet, and will make the song feel that much bigger in comparison.

Of course, building up within a section isn't bad, especially if adding in a significant amount of tracks, for example, but lay back on how much you build. Maybe just a little bit of white noise, and I would only increase the kicks for going into the harder section of the song.

Also, I think the kick could be a little deeper. EQ and Compress it, try to get a nice deep kick. I have no idea if you side chained it or not, but if you didn't, you may want to look into that.

Hope I helped, and I can't wait to hear the full song!

Wow, thanks for that whole thing! It does need more bass, though. Which can be achieved through (as you said) EQing the bass drum to hit harder.
I'm actually not sure if I'll be continuing the song though. I've started something else which I'm liking better, but who knows, maybe I'll send in two. Thanks for the critique.
