<original><pony>Shroud the Land

Here's my song I've been working on.

Been bloody forever since I last released a song, but I've been trying to get things right with mastering n' such. Hopefully I did it.

Very nice track :D you managed to pull off some good reverb on the kick (its usually done very poorly imo), I like the panning with the piano, You have a great mix between all those genres and sounds well done!

I will definitly be downloading and subscribing

Wow, thank you!

I actually spent roughly 500000000000% more time on EQ and mixing on this one, as opposed to my earlier ones, and I think it paid off. As an interesting aside, this song started out as the part you hear when the piano comes in, that my hands just randomly played on the piano, and I decided to copy it down to FL (thank goodness) and I then proceeded to focus on the drums, which is something I've also never really done before. All in all, this is the happiest I've been with something I've made so far.

Work spent on eqing and solid drum foundations will always make a good track sound great! I now spend about four hours alone on just my kicks and claps and then my friends ask I get them so good and all I can say is I work at it.

I must also add the dubstep elements are quite well done and really fitting now that I am hearing it a second time. If I were you I would try to get this on EQD.

Hehe, believe you me, I would love EQD to feature this (last one got rejected). I submitted it to them the day I posted it, but haven't heard back from them yet. Oh well, it either will or won't get featured, and there's not much I can do about it.

And thanks about the bass parts, it took forever tweaking with Massive to get it to sound how I wanted it to. Moral of the story (for me at least) is don't get too comfortable with Nexus.

Yeah this is great.

Regarding EqD you do have 2 strikes against you if a)you don't this on youtube with a good correspoding image (youtube is majority of what they'll feature), b) it's just not pony enough. Nothing against the track itself as its very good but I don't heard any MLP influence and that IS needed if you wanna get on there as its otherwise just a great instrumental electronic track. Consider having a dialogue snippet or re-consider how this is influenced by the show and make that influence that much more transparent. Great job though!

I did explain myself better than I did here to EQD, and sent them the youtube video link, rather than the soundcloud, and it was featured there like, the next day after 4th Impulse commented, so it was either on a backlog, or they didn't see it until then, but it did end up getting featured. I think I've put up what the full explanation is on my youtube page, but I'm not sure, and I'm both too sick and lazy to check and make sure, but here's a link to it if you want more backstory as to what was going through my head when I wrote the song.

Also, don't do that, starting off a sentence with "Regarding EqD, you have 2 strikes against you," Scared me half to death, thought I was about to be put on a black-list or somthing.

Nice job on this. I love this chord progression, it's a favorite of mine--I've been toying around with an idea that uses it too :D

I don't really know a lot about electronic music or dubstep, but I like how you mixed the more serene pad and pianos with the synth and those boomy kicks!

Those just happen to be the things I find most fun to do, so I'd be more than happy to put glitches into upcoming songs!

Ha sorry man, glad they did feature it as sometimes that can be a sticking point. It's a great track so glad it made it.
