video looks awesome. track is missing personality and complexity though. having some more elements to your track i think would bring that out. the drums in particular are very basic (if you had gone with a breakbeat after the vocal bit i think it would have been really cool as the synths had that old skool sound. Although whats in here is good it just needs some additional elements and perhaps better melodies to shine.

I really like this one. Even if it's a WIP. :b

^ I agree with this.
The drums do sound quite basic, especially after the vocals. they also sound a bit dis-jointed. the small offset of the snare really throws the beat out of wack. as somepony who's focused on drums a lot, I've learned that you can have a simple beat in a song, but making it unique really help make your music stand out. Not to say it's easy to make a drum beat that is unique, since there are limits to what can fit within sections of a song. I use drum rolling to apply an introduction to a new section, and it works very well for me. every now and then I change up the drum rolling by putting in tom drums just before some snare, and it creates a unique sound within the same piece of music, even if it's introducing the same kind of section. Although there are times when a drum intro is not needed(such in the case of your vocals section), but in those moments you really want to hit the listener with something amazing when the beat returns, even if it's not super extravagant or intense.

wow, I never thought I'd write that much about making drum beats! lol, I hope I was able to help you out. I'm not very good when it comes to giving advice. :b
