<wip><original>Triumph at Last (OFFLINE FOR REWORKING)

Postby GhostXb » 20 Mar 2012 15:26

I have removed the link until I can rework the track and make improvements.

Hey guys, here's my entry for the Seeds of Kindness charity album. I was wondering if anyone can give it a listen and let me know if there's any changes I can make to make it better before submitting the final product. I want to make the track as best as it can be. I'll leave it on soundcloud until tomorrow morning, then I'll take it down and make any necessary changes.

Any critique is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The intro is great, very soft and dynamic, the panning is great! The bass sounds a little generic but thats not a problem just a personal thing. The drums are a little overpowering in the begining at 1:22 but get better as you bring in more elements. It could use some more eqing to give everything the most space possible but this is great already.

Thanks for listening. Yeah I kind of thought the drums were a little too sudden as well, maybe I can make a better transmission. Just a question, when you say it should have more space, you mean it should sound like, fatter, or more distinct?

Put an eq on every channel (every individual sound from individual drums hits to leads) then while listening to the whole song cut away as many frequencys as you can before it becomes too noticable, this will significantly reduce clashing and bring out each part better (it will make everything more clear). It will take some time but its worth it, and its important to listen to the track as a whole even though your only eqing one track at a time.
