The kick needs to be more beefier, try layering some kicks and EQ boost them from just above the sub-bass, maybe add some distortion. Add more hihats and a break! A dnb beat needs to be energetic to really put the listener into a trance. The tempo of the song seems a bit slow (?), around 170 is the normal tempo for dnb. The wubwub at 1:40 is offsync which is annoying in my opinion.
Great song!

OK, thanks! I agree, the drums probably need some work. I'll try layering kicks. Only, how do I EQ boost? (Using FL Studio). Sorry if that's a stupid question, I'm 100% self taught, so I don't entirely know what I'm doing.
Add more hihats I can do, but I'm curious as to what you mean by a break. Is that the drum loop structure? With the second kick half as close to the second snare than the first? I thought I already had that...
The tempo is 160, which is a little slow for DnB, but I don't think it's unheard of. I did have it at 180, but found that that made the wubs sound fairly messy, so I slowed it down a bit. The wubs themselves are a little bit bad in review. I should probably have tried something different there.
Overall, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

As a general rule of thumb, rather decrease unwanted frequencies than increase wanted ones.
Random111223 wrote:Breaks are drum loops which you add to the beat to make it more complex, usually consisting of hi-hats, percussions and maybe quiet kicks and snares. You can find some good packs with google (or tpb).
