The most confusing tags ever :S

My newest creation, I've had eh, technical difficulties making this one, but it turned out alright, I've missed a few melodies here and there..

There's just so much dubstep, chillout, prog. trance and orchestral pony stuff, it's time for something a bit faster this time :)

Any criticism welcome ^^

i like it overall but there's a noisey synth that's muddling up and doing a ton of phasing that muddies up a lot of the intial sound. it goes away around 1:45 and then re-enters. i really don't like how it dominates the track as its just too thick and not allowing the other instruments to stick out. if you tweak that offending synth out i think you'd get better results. likewise the drums too are overwhelmed and barely there. that offending synth is the one that solos around 3:50. fix that and i think you'll improve the results a lot.

Thanks for the input mate :)

Yes, I have originally planned to change that synth, actually it was just a temporary thing to create some melodies, but in the end I was forced to leave it because I have no idea when my PC will be operational again, may take months, and on this old PC FL Studio's export function has some serious issues, the settings are fine, but it exports heavily altered sounds...I had to make really overkill equalizations, then export, and check how it sounds. This is as close as I can get working like this..maybe I'll get around to fixing it in the future, but certanly in future projects I won't use sounds like these.

Thanks again mate :)

Quick notes while listening:

+ I can hardly hear that snare!
+ Yep, it's pretty muddy, try messing around with the EQ/levels of your pads, or the main lead, or the bass you're using, or even all three, 'cause something's seriously eating up the other instruments' space here.
+ In spite of everything, I think the lead synth is a little louder than it should be. Or maybe it's the lack of clarity among the other layers that make it stick out a lot.

Basically yeah, what DJ Pon-3 said. Try to get rid of the mud, and you'll have something that shines here.

Thanks for the reply mate, don't worry I can take bad criticism :)

I agree, but I didn't really want to accent the snare at all, I will keep that in mind in the future. I hope to get my PC running soon, and maybe I'll clean it up for an mp3 or something. Thanks for the help :)

I think the problem I have with it is the noise buildups and sidechain, however this can be remedied with some eqing on them. I think it might be clashing in the higher frequencies.
