<WIP> <Pony> Magic never fades

Like some of you guys might know, i've more or less only created orchestral pieces up to this date. So, i decided to try and do a electronical piece!

I am doing this one mostly for fun, but even so, it'd be great to receive feedback on it. What i've done right and wrong etc. This is my first electronical piece, so i suspect that there will be quite alot of things that i can improve.

What do you guys think about it?

Sounds good! Really cool sound so far, though I don't think your bass is helping the song from 0:30 to 0:45; seems atonal and probably not what you're going for.

Yeah, i had a bunch of trouble with the bass. It didn't really "enhance" the tune as i wanted it to do. I'm going to try and fix it.

Thanks Makkon!

at the 0:15 mark, there's a mini build up to high melody. But there is no change in dynamic. If there is difference in volume between the first 15 seconds and the rest of the song, then that makes the rest of the song that much more

if you take this track that released today on sound piercing recordings:
http://youtu.be/908kpvAP9lU
you can hear that the first 29 seconds have no "meaty" kick. Until they add the first change in noise, the bass is pretty empty. the next build up happens at the 0:55, where the main bass line is added.

basically what I'm trying to say is what my band commander always told me: "Dynamics: it is the fine line that makes or breaks a band; not the size"

The part starting at 0.15 has four repetitions as the lead instrument, seems a bit much. I suggest reducing it to one repetition at the low intensity and one at the high, or playing with the volume so it isn't the lead instrument on the third and fourth repeat (for example, making the bass interesting as Makkon said).

I would recommend getting some less acoustic drum samples.
And make them louder.

and the 0:15 seems like a unneded high pass filter. Bass should be introduced immediately on 0:15 IMHO

Thanks for all the help and feedback guys. I am really on unknown territory here, so to speak.
I'll try out the things you've said, try to make my tune a bit better.
