An Adventure to Remember

Postby CFGU || Rainbow Dash » 09 Jul 2011 10:09

This isn't really a remix of another song, but it's an OC piece I wrote in the style of old-school video games. Namely, the beginning is reminiscent of adventure games (i.e. Sonic) and the second half is similar to an RPG (i.e. Final Fantasy, the older ones).

I think it belongs here because its style is similar to a remix, and I want to get my name out there for people to see.

The beginning is similar to most new Sonic game music, yes.

I like the bit specifically at 1:09. I'm a sucker for... whatever you'd call that.

The change in pace is also quite nice.

My only problem is that it builds up to no sort of climax anywhere. Just as it feels it's going to get big... CRASH and everything's slow again (2:52).

EDIT: Is your name CFGU or Rainbow Dash?

I pretty much agree with Interrobang Pie here, it's good, but a climax at the end would make it better! :)
The no climax, just end to a quiter section works the first time around though! At least, I reckon it does...

You are the hero My Little Remix deserves, not the one it needs.
So we’ll hunt you. Because you can take it. Because you’re not our hero.
You’re a silent guardian of music, a watchful protector of songs.
A doctor of dissonance.
