[WIP] Vinyl Scratch (Daddy DJ Cover)

Postby Likonan » 06 Jan 2012 14:41

All right, I can't edit this anymore without some help.

This cover was born on the 21/12/2011, quite out of the blue, as I was listening to the original song. Originally, I thought that I was going to make it about Derpy Hooves, but I ended up choosing Vinyl Scratch for more obvious reasons.

I can't hear very properly from my own computer how well mastered the WIP is, so I am wondering whether or not you'd be kind enough to point out the flaws for me.
Also, I was wondering if someone would be interested in creating vocals, or at least suggest someone who could help. :?:

I know, I have this synth bass called "Prog Rock Bass" which is hard to tame when lowered to other octaves. I tried different kinds of effects and filters, but I can't seem to give it a strong bass withouth sounding bad. :(

yeah in many ways it sounds good melody wise and itr has decent production except the track is so treble-y its almost painful which is something i rarely hear happen. If you can get that under control on the offending synth or swap instruments it would sounds a lot better as its just not working as is.
