Well I finally got a MIDI to USB cable, so of course I'm going to exploit that damn cable! Improvised over the same chords for the MLP theme, so don't expect awesome counterpoint harmony with the MLP theme. So... critique away!

By the way, what genre would this song fit under? I know it fits a genre, but... I just don't know!

Even though its very simple it sounds wonderful. Just to clarify that is from a real piano, a keyboard with a midi out, or is it all from a midi keyboard? The quality of the instruments sound great. Closest genre might be New Age (think George Winston) but there's generally more synths involved with that. Not sure if there is a classical genre for mostly solo piano or not.

You could do this for other MLP themes and put out a Pony Lullabyes album and it would likely be pretty successful as this is quite peaceful.

@DJ Pon-3: Yeah, I used keyboard with MIDI out, and I made it control EastWest Pianos... with EXTRA REVERB! I'm honestly considering doing a same treatment for the other songs of MLP, because this isn't as time-intensive as my other works (coughANGLICANCHANTcough). It's a good way for me to give back to the community. And that album? That sounds like a great idea! There's money to be made~

@Makkon - Hopefully I can continue doing this type of music once I'm back in college, cause I ain't gonna lug my keyboard to school. But I'll see what I can do, I won't disappoint you Makkon!

@CGEyeGuy - Hey, thanks! The melodies I pulled out were probably unconsciously influenced by Korean drama, so it might be because of that. XD

hey np glad to help, there's a whole series called rockabye baby! that's relaxing children's music covers of a full range of popular bands (including edgier bands such as Metallica, Tool, Sabbath) so why not relaxing lullbaye covers of mlp tunes. I'm sure some fans with kids would grab that in a heartbeat off bandcamp. Just don't charge much (pay what you want would be best) if you don't own the music though. You're still supposed to pay royalties to the original creators.

I really, REALLY hope you do more of these, cause that was BEAUTIFUL! I loved it, so charming and peaceful and relaxing...just, wow. If there ever were a MLP FiM movie, I think this would fit it perfectly.
Or as DJ Pon-3 said, the Lullaby versions of the MLP songs would be wonderful, I'd get it! =D
