DasDeer - The road to Appleloosa

Postby DasDeer » 11 Dec 2011 13:58

I took the feedback you guys gave me, and tried to improve the song with it.

This time, it is a western-ish song. It is inspired by Appleloosa, and the long and harsh road to get there. I wanted this one to fit a episode or fanfiction where Applejack and her friends had to walk to Appleloosa, not take the train. All of them with a straw in their mouths and a cowboy hat on their heads. (Copy and paste from the Youtube description, sorry.)

So, what do you guys think?

Very nice. I love the guitar parts, although at the start the melody is somewhat dominated by the chord strumming, which doesn't really sound right to me, but overall I like it!

Nice, simple yet effective. It's got a bit of that western feel you were going for, so good job on that. Liked it :)

I liked it. It's nice to see some Applejack tracks that are remiscent of her character and that western themed episode. I got a weird idea of a breakbeat remix so if you're up for an alteration and have the stems let me know and I'll take a whirl. Otherwise the original is great on its own.

pretty nice! I think you achieved what you were going for.

Just a tip to make the ending of a song sound more final, if you are in D minor for instance, end the song with the highest note in the chord sounding at a D, instead of an A.

Looking forward to hearing more of you!
