Pinkie Pie's Club + Funky Cupcakes by DJ Sonar

God Im nervous about uploading. I know my music's sorta crap anyway, so I don't mind criticism ;p

Ok, so the first song is called Pinkie Pie's Club, and Im gonna make a Playlist/Album out of it. It was the first song I actually used voice samples on, and I think it sounds pretty good, but I'd like to know what you think.

The second song is called Funky Cupcakes, and this song was the first ever song I made. No voice samples, but I think this also sounds good, and I've had a lot of good feedback from it.

If your wondering what program I use, it's probably the most hated MIDI Program ever. And it's called Garageband. It's the only thing I have at the moment, and I either:

Use the school's iMacs for 40 minutes a week, but they do have MIDI keyboards, which shall be mentioned later

OR

Nag my sister into letting me use her Macbook with Garageband on it. I made Pinkie Pie's Club using her Macbook on a Strike Day, if your wondering.

Now, as for new songs, my next release should be within a week, and is the first time I use a MIDI Keyboard for the Bass. It was pretty fun doing it, actually, and sounds better than these songs. It'll be called "Luna's Eclipse", if your wondering.

Oh yeah, It's kinda best if you listen with headphones. For some reason, I can't hear the bass without them. Probably the .mp3 encoder Garageband uses

Anyway, thank you for taking your time to listen!

-DJ Sonar

P.S. Don't expect miracles, I'm only 13 after all ;p

first ones pretty good just need to work on repetitiveness (i had trouble with this myself but once you overcome it it feels great)

I have this weird OCD-style tendency to compile each section into 16 beats (i.e. On Funky Cupcakes, it's just Saxophone for 16 beats, and then it changes into Sax w/ Drums, and so on and so forth). But I will try and crack out of it, but I'm not gonna change it for my next song. My deadline's on Thursday to complete it.

oh ok i see what i usually do to fight repetitiveness is make a chorus and two verses some times more and arrange them until i find something i like it also helps to stick to the same scale for the chorus and verses
