I've got two tracks here, one a soft ambient moombahton, the other is a dutch house version

On the first one:
This sounds pretty good, really weird and dark at some points, but hey, that's not always a bad thing. When the hats are alone with the pads and synth, the syncopation is weird, but it's fine when the toms come in. Also, you might wanna raise the volume on the percussion a bit. The pitch drop at the end is kinda cool. Overall the structure of the song is pretty good. It's not exactly my cup of tea, but that's just me.

On the second one:
Okay, overall incredibly similar so far. That synth that comes in after the hats is kind of piercing, I'd cut a bit of the high shelf on there. The change at like 1:51 is cool, I assume that's the Dutch House, but I'm not too familiar with the genre. Through the whole thing your drums are barely audible, you might want to change that.

Overall, work on your Mixing/Mastering techniques, that will help everything sound generally better. Also, if you aren't already, study music theory, It'll help a lot.

The "hats" are actually just the high ends of the toms.

The similarities are because I made the second one first, then decided it could make a nice soft song as well.

I don't actually study music theory, but I think I see what you're talking about. The Dutch House synth (piercing one) is off scale with the pad. I don't really like how the two mixed, so I'll have to think about that in the future.

I'll make sure to work on the drum volume for the next time :)

Thanks for the critique! :D
