Damn, those snares at the beginning are sick! Everything progresses at a pretty good rate. The subs that come in at 0:42 are nice. The synth at 1:15 sounds kinda weird where it is, but that's a really good drop. You're seriously talented dude, post any updates you have for this WIP, I'd love to see how it turns out!

I agree, that's a nice snare you've got. May I ask what the sample was?

Snare sounds a bit muffled during the drop, might want to sidechain some of the drop elements lightly to it to give it some breathing space.

The portamento'd, filtered square in the beginning is fairly generic, may want to look into making it different, maybe layer some other wave or something on it.

The vocal before the drop is really quiet, hard to make out what it's saying. Just bring it up in volume, should be fine.

Interesting use of that Knife Party-esque whoop sound. Normally you hear it faster but I like what you did with it.

I'm not sure if the sub was supposed to decrease in volume so much, if it wasn't then you might want to look in to that.

Other than that it sounds like it's coming on quite nicely, progresses well.

uhh the snare was really just 2 snares from vengence electroshock vol 1, one had a nice snap, one had a nice body, i compressed them to hell, and added a nice reverb for some tail, im not too sure if i had added white noise to the bg or not, i built the snare awhile ago :p

i was noticing that in the drop too, originally i had planned on not using too much sidechain, considering some artists abuse it, but the snare needs it so ill fix that up.

haha yeah i literally did what you said for that first synth, im gonna add something with a bit more grit and edge to fit with the timbre of the track. I'm thinking that the whole intro just needs something more to it, to both fill space, and sound like it fits with the drop and vice-versa, it annoys me when some artists have songs that seem like the drop was put in there, just to add a drop, like it doesn't fit with the track, so im trying to avoid that

Yea im gonna raise the vocoder levels a bit then bring it up front, im trying to hide the fact that my laptops microphone is absolute shit lol. (cheep hp laptop producer ftw ;_;)

haha, thats exactly what i was going for, i was inspired by 3 artists mainly; Omni, Silva, and good ol Knife Party, so im trying to morph what they did, along with my own style and design

The issue i had with the sub decreasing (which i hadnt noticed untill i uploaded and looked at the waveform) was that when i made the sub, i confined it to 20-60 hz, and some notes had pitches lower than 20 being dominant, so ill probably just move the low cut to 10 hz-ish

yeah, i think i may or may not be missing a measure in my counting, should be an easy fix

most likely, if i do finish this song tonight, ill just throw a dropbox link on here, if i don't, then i should be done with the track by like, monday. Hopefully ill get back here with a finished (without mastering) product, then ill do mixing and mastering tomorrow/monday.
