Hey guys! Nikki & I made a new song together. I made the riff, the chord progression, and the piano melody, I did a lot of the mixing, and I mastered the song. Nikki did the rest. Hope you guys enjoy~

The composition's pretty good, and the mixing definitely works, but I'd have put a lot more time into sound design. That buildup at around 1:55 had me expecting something a bit bigger-sounding than what I got - there just wasn't a whole lot there to fill out the frequency spectrum and really give it that epic feel. Also, the kick drum sounds very Vengeancey - typically, this is rectified by layering samples, EQing, or not using Vengeance kicks.

i had this playing in the background while i was doing a variety of other things. i hadnt realized it was actually playing until it stopped. and i only noticed it stopped because i was tapping the beat out after it had finished. then i realized it had been done for quite some time. your song stuck in my head without me even realizing it, damn. good job.

The kick is made with Vengeance; but it's made with 2 different layered kicks which were very heavily processed in order to sound like they were one sample.

Yeah, I honestly didn't put as much work into the sound design on this one as I usually would. I had to skip a few steps in my production process in order to get this done in a timely manor. Too many other projects to finish, and not enough hours in the day. :/
