<non-pony><mashup> I made something inspired by anosa

Hopefully you know who anosa is. It's the name our very own sci uses for his more aggressive works. Example: http://youtu.be/vwyysnX00Os

Now as for my "song".

It's mostly a combination of whistling and gabber. It's not even close to as rich or full as anosa's songs, but it is my first song ever. So, I'd like to ask a few questions:

Did I make any glaringly obvious mistakes with the mix?
What should I improve on?
And, how should I go about making songs like this more complex? The song by anosa I gave as an example probably samples 3 times as many songs, and switches around a lot more to. Also forgot to mention, I'm working in FL studio 10 using Slicex.

as for your first song ever...it's not so great, sorry to say.
but it's still better than my first song

I generally advise keeping your first few songs to yourself, since you will grow VERY quickly and look back and ask "what was I thinking".
so don't feel discouraged with that first sentence. :)

and with that downer thought out of the way:

what I'd focus on here is actually the scales/keys/not-being-dissonant/etc.

starting with the very first gabber kick: it's like one semitone too high (if not a half-semitone or something. I can't really tell at glance.)

towards the end, you gave a ton of stuff going on at once, but all in different scales. It's a clusterfuck, and not in a good way.

if you can find some songs that you know are in the same key, try chopping those and working with that. It might (should) be a good way to start training your ears.
(EZ method: find several different remixes of the same song)

Haha, don't worry, I'm definitely aware that this is complete garbage. So yes, scales. I've actually started on a music theory book so I'll look into that some more. Thanks.
