<WIP> I made this in a car last weekend, Not sure what to do

Postby Dabrenn » 18 Sep 2012 15:32

Like the title says, I made this in a long car ride last weekend and I like the overall feel of it, but I'm a little at a loss of how to really turn it into something worthwhile. Right now the drums are cheap and repetitive and the mixing could use some work, but it terms of adding anything other than my basic loop, I can't seem to find anything that resonates with me.

I would love any and all feedback :D.

I actually really like this! I agree, the drums could use work, but the main problem that I hear is the tempo, it seems to be dragging along a bit at 86 bpm or something like that. Speed it up, maybe add a few robotic speech synthesizers, and maybe even add an accelerating tempo change around 1:55, and you'll have an even better track :)

I'm a sucker for the illusion of a rhythmic sound and slower beats, maybe that's why I like it at ~86, but I'll mess around with the BPM, especially since I thought about merging it with another project of mine running at around ~95 bpm.

I need to work on my sound engineering, I'll try to make some more speech synths, preferably without Modern Talking. I may end up turning this into a Bro-step esque song since I haven't tackled that genre yet.

Thanks for the feedback for sure! I need every bit of it.
