(Name also WIP. They're usually either the first or last thing I think of.)

I'm actually attempting to EQ stuff properly. I'm probably still not doing it right, but it sounds pretty good so far, I guess..?
Also, I actually seem to be making some progress in the weird world of synthesis, which is nice.

But yeah, I sort of hit a little bit of a block, so this is going up as-is. Any feed back would be very useful.

Also, a question to any FL Studio users: My drums are all in their own individual mixer tracks in this, and in order to get them to fade in without affecting other stuff, I need 5 different volume automation clips. Can I use a send channel or something to change the volume of the 5 different tracks at once? Because it seems like you can only use those for applying effects to multiple channels, and having 5 automation clips is kind of a waste of space (not that it really matters much or anything, it would just be more convenient...).

You're talking about simultaneously changing 5 different volume levels on 5 different mixer tracks?

Well then, just set one automation filter for one of the mixer tracks (Let's call in Kick 1 Vol), and then for the other four, right-click on the volume slider --> Link to Controller --> Underneath "Internal Controller", click on the drop-down and select the "Kick 1 Vol" under "Automation Clips". I think as long the mapping formula remains at "Input", it should all work. Basically it's routing the selected volume slider's level to the automation.

Just do this for all four mixer tracks and it should work. OR, you could route them all through a send... But I would recommend linking them to an automation filter, as you have more control (Because, although not applicable in this situation, you can have the levels respond differently to the automation via the mapping formula: Drum 2 follows the automation, whereas Drum 3 follows the automation such that a 5% change in the filter would only change it's volume by 1%).

Well, I didn't mean to write that all, but umm... I don't feel like erasing it.

Anyways, the song sounded pretty good. The bass synth seemed a little funky in terms of how it matches up with the lead synth (1:55-ish). Maybe check it over? Or, it could just be me and my relatively amateur ear.

Thanks for the automation tips; that worked perfectly. Longer explanatinos are nice too, by the way (I appreciate the extra information).

As for the bass and lead thing, should I take "funky" to mean it sort of sounds...dissonant or something? Or just kind of badly mixed and a bit muddy..?

Dissonant! There's kinda the word I was looking for.

Yeah, it's like, the lead has alot of energy and motion to it, so when the bass starts to move up and down the scale in short intervals it clashes a bit.

Hmm, yeah I listened to some separated parts a bit and I think I get what you mean. That sort of arpeggiated scale bit was just supposed to be a kind of...side-effect to go over the rest at that point, but yeah, it does seem like it could use a bit of editing. I want to see if I can at least keep some element of it though...well, that's something to work on.

Anyway, thanks for the input.

This is great! It's nice, catchy and energetic, I can hear things in here most D'n'B Producers miss out on.
But, there are still some things to improve on, when the bass came in, everything started to become dissonant, maybe because the bass is detuned, or Is it flat?
And the drums, the drums are all tacky and repetitive instead of being Powerful and diverse, but If it's your style, it's all right, Just sying it's more "Jungley" than "D'n'B"

Nice work, I really dig this, but I'm still also wondering about the separate mixer track :/
