Is there anything I can do to improve this? I'm a complete newbie, so any tips are appreciated a TON.

Dude, this is pretty good as is. It's nice and peaceful. Except the sample at the end could use a bit more release, not cut off and jar the whole song.

First of all this belongs in the music section of the forums.

As for the track all I can really say is its too repetitive synthesis wise, that lead synth doesn't really change in any way as it progresses. Use some automation to change the synthesis in any way you can, stuff like pulse width and small eq cuts that sweep around would really help. Some more spacial effects would help too, get some very natual reverb on it to make it sound wide.
