<WIP>Attempt at dubstep bass drop NEED CRITIQUE PLEASE

http://soundcloud.com/itroitnyah/drop-test Alright, so there are quite a few things wrong with it, I know. I realize that there appeared to be a volume modulation taking place, when I didn't place one there. Although from my first export, I forgot to remove the fruity limiter from the master channel, so that might be it.

Also, the volume modulation would be worse, but I mastered it, and that fixed some of it. And I purposely didn't export at loudest I could because the volume modulation gets worse at higher volumes.

I layered the sounds, used a bit of whitenoise, although not a whole lot, and about 5 soundgoodizers for each instrument. I also used some BassBoosters, although the bass doesn't feel like it's there. And the drums really need work. Any tips on doing the drums better would also be helpful. Although I think that the drums are mostly out of time and rythm because of the fruity limiter and the distortion of wubs and stuff. Also... Should I EQ the wubs? I get the feeling that EQing the wubs could help.

Once again, this is a WIP, so any help that you guys can give would be more helpful than $10,000.

Sidechain the wubs and stuff to the kick for starters. And, yes EQ'ing would help. Bring up the Low-mid range but make sure you don't clip or muddy the kick's frequency.

This shouldn't be happening unless your song is clipping like a m&*#$#%$er, which I don't think it's clipping very hard. Lower the gain and ceiling of the wubs and sidechain, sidehain, sidechain.

Also, make sure you include some high-end in your drop. This can bee accomplished by adding subtle white noise over the drop, as well as some higher frequency synths, and some hihats.

Good luck! Hope this helped you.

Well I'm pretty much done with this site (it wasn't about the April Fool's joke I actually loved that). If for some reason somebody wants to contact me or something (not like any of you even care lol):
