Enjoyed the melody on this track immensely when Balloon Party came out, so I decided to remix it! Any thoughts? :)

I apologize, but this song sounds like the same 4 bars of music repeated over and over again. One way to combat this repetition is to add in new elements once in a while, which you did by adding a second melody that harmonizes with the original melody in 1:32, also in the adding of the bass drums in 1:47. The build up to 2:03 sounds... a bit lacking. I suspect it's because you're using the same melody from the start. Even so, maybe an automation of filter? Maybe use different synths? Try out different things!

You should also try your hand on making your own melody and harmonizing them. This kind of skill (creating little musical ideas) is absolutely essential no matter if you're making remixes or originals.

Keep up the effort!

Hmmmm, I see what you mean... it's more a case, for me, of trying to recreate the pure trancy part at the start of the original and holding to that throughout the song (as much as I normally enjoy my wubs, I didn't feel that part really fit properly into the original). So maybe it was more of an edit than a remix; I was a bit distracted by that attempt to recreate the parts that I liked, rather than to really innovate anything of my own.

But yeah, I do see where you're coming from, it is pretty repetitive. I'll try and work on adding more variation in future; I really need to start figuring out some of the more technical aspects of production too. :P Thanks for the feedback!
