so, here is my first piece of pony music ever... well... actually pretty much my first legitimate music at all ever... regardless, its a trance theme song for my friend's ask blog OC. I might as well post it here so please, id appreciate any and all comments and suggestions. considering im still pretty new at this.

Not bad, for a first stab at 'legitimate' music. It's definitely got an actual melody going for it (I always have to point that out because I suck at melodies :lol: ), and that guitar solo is very cool.

However:
1. It sounds to me like you could stand to master it a bit more, especially when it comes to EQing (that clap doesn't quite jump out of the mix as much as it could).
2. I get the feeling that the whole song would sound a lot bigger, and a lot more epic, if you layered a few synth pads with the lead after each buildup.
3. The piano and guitar sound a bit dry, so maybe try some reverb or delay to keep them from sounding so sterile.
4. Like I seem to tell everyone, you might also want to look into sound design, because the lead sounds rather stock, if you get my meaning.

i see what you are saying, especially on 3 and 4
its all stuff i will definitely take into account going forward
