As sort of a challenge to myself, I decided to try my hand at remixing a popular brony song. Let me know what you think!

and the change at 0:54 was even more awkward.

Really? 0_o odd.

great remix. And the chord progression at 1:19 was fantastic. 1:46 has good ambience to it, but I would work more with the velocity of the piano so it doesn't sound so robotic.

I thought about doing that, but decided it would kill the mix, wouldn't be long before the piano'd be drowned out. FL Key's velocities also sort of effect what the samples sound like. But I thought about it though!

It feels to me that the shaker/hihat gets a little bit annoying and in the way as it comes back in at 2:14.

Kyoga wrote:no real complaints beyond that, except for enunciating the vocal section a little more in the 2nd half of the song.

I had trouble fixing the diction with that one, the acapella that was out had effects already on the vocals, so they weren't clean when I got them, and my mastering chain is completely different than the original I imagine. Adding the vocoder didn't help much either, but I had to keep it consistent with the rest of the vocals.

Thanks for the input :)

did you ever think of talking to WT so you could get the acapellas from him?

It's the ones he posted on the original youtube video. Plus this wasn't supposed to be like a knockout track or anything I was more or less practicing working with vocals. Also, chances are I wouldn't ever get a response back from him.
