Just started listening to the song and I don't mean it in a bad way, but that crawling sound in the beginning makes me cringe a bit. The transition while not sudden seems a bit too radical. Too bad it ends so suddenly.

I like. Sounds ominous. If you want it to be more ominous you could increase the reverb and add a delay overdub in some notes.

If oyu are going for an ominous overarching mood, slowly increasing reverb as the piece rises would be neat.

As for the delay, in the second part whenever you start a new phrase/arpeggio you could have an overdub delay of the note you just plucked.
