<WIP> <pony> Need help with a few things

Postby Orschmann » 21 Apr 2012 20:11

Alright, so I'm looking for specific feedback about a few aspects of this track:

    1. I feel like the vocals have a bit too much presence in some places. Do they? If so, what could I do to rein them in a bit?

    2. As much as I don't want to hear it, are the vocals too repetitive?

    3. What genre would you classify this as? I realize it's downtempo breakbeat, but I'm not sure if it fits into a more specific sub-genre.

Feel free to critique anything else about the track as well. Oh, and I work in Ableton. That might be a useful thing to know.

Thanks ahead of time to anyone who takes the time to listen.

Yes, in the beginning, the vocals are rather jarring. Just make them quieter, to about how loud they are in 1:40. fluttershy is now too loud.

I agree that the vocals are a bit loud at the start and when the track breaks down about 2:10 but they seem to be fine for most of the track.
The track may be fairly repetitive but Im too chilled while listening it to care.
Im terrible with critiques so all I can say is that I really like this track, its just really nice and chill.
I love writing rock, especially of the prog variety.
